Again, BulletProof coffee to start the day, caffeine and fats all in one.
I pulled a serving of lasagna from the freezer for my lunch, together with a Bai Bubbles.
I brought with me the second Ready, Egg, Go snack for today. I only ate the peanuts and cheese, passing on the egg this time. I doubt it made much difference to the carbs, one at the most.
For dinner tonight I used a pound each of ground turkey and pork to make some meatloaf. It was a lot higher in carbs than I would like, mostly coming from the tomato sauce. It was quite tasty though, the only reason I didn’t have seconds was due to the carbs.
Snack Pt. 2
I was still feeling hungry after my dinner and had a couple sticks of cheese as a low carb snack.
Even though my carbs are higher than I wanted, at 33g, my macros are almost spot on which is great. While 6g of my carbs were fiber, leaving me with 27g net carbs, which is definitely over my goal of 20g. Most of that is from the tomato sauce (only one little can) I used on the meatloaf.
My steps for the day were decent. I was super busy at work and didn’t have an opportunity to go walk.
I slept in a bit and then wasn’t hungry so my first meal was late in the day. I planned to make deviled eggs but they didn’t peel well so I just made an egg salad instead. I didn’t want to spend the time baking cheese chips so I microwaved some; they were a bit chewy so I’ll likely bake them next time.
It was about midnight when my brother decided he wanted a burger. I rode along and got this double-meat cheeseburger; I even resisted the wonderful smelling onion rings he got. The only bun I had was whatever stuck to the cheese I had to peel off in bits.
My total carbs came to 10g, which isn’t too bad for two meals. Most of that came from the burger, likely the vegetables (which should have at least some fiber content even though there’s none showing).
My steps are also better than expected seeing as I slept until the afternoon. I did also stay up late though, so I’m sure some of that is from before I slept.
I’m going into the office tomorrow and plan to take just a low carb meal from my freezer. I still have a lot of eggs that need eating so I plan to eat at least one egg-based meal a day but won’t consider it an egg fast moving forward.
I’m still trying to use up what’s in the fridge while staying close to zero carbs so lunch was some leftover turkey and cheese that I bought when our power was out. Not part of the Egg Fast but still very low carb.
My favorite Egg Fast recipe, Cream Cheese Pancakes, with plenty of syrup and some butter.
I was able to keep the carbs down to only 6g today. I slept a good part of the day, catching up on what I lost with all our weird weather and power being out so I only had the two meals, which definitely contributed to keeping both carbs and calories down.
The down side of sleeping a lot and spending even more time in bed is the low number of steps for the day, which makes it even better that I didn’t eat a lot.
Partial Egg Fast – Day 3

I had agreed earlier in the week to go to lunch with a retired coworker and another friend of hers from the office. I knew eggs would be out of the question but luckily we went to a Mexican restaurant and I was able to order fajitas, with just cheese and sour cream, keeping as close to 0 carb as possible.
I brought this new snack pack I had found with me and had to eat it or toss it, so I nibbled on it throughout the afternoon. The almonds and cheese were great but the egg was weird, kind of chewy and wet. I have another in the fridge but won’t be buying them again.
I scrambled some eggs with some ham lunchmeat and cheese for dinner, along with a La Croix drink, sweetened with EZ Sweets.
I wasn’t able to stick completely to the Egg Fast but tried to get in at least one egg meal. It was really nice to have a meal that wasn’t eggs. I was still able to keep my carbs to only 10g. The Ready Egg snack was actually more but scanned as net carbs, with the fiber already subtracted.
It was a busy day at work so I didn’t get as many steps in but it wasn’t too bad, especially since I’m still favoring my twisted ankle.
