Egg Fast – Day 3

 

Breakfast

I started the day with another BulletProof tea, which it appears I forgot to take a picture of.  I used a Cinnamon-Spice tea today, and thought it was pretty good, although not as good as yesterday’s.

 

Lunch

I actually ate around lunchtime today, another of my favorite recipes I’ve found on Egg Fast sites, Fried Hardboiled Eggs.  Just slice up some hard-boiled eggs and fry them in some butter.  A great way to get more eggs down.  This time I tried adding cheese and mayonnaise for the first time and thought it made it even better.

 

 

Dinner

Since the cheese chips went so well yesterday, I tried the same method today, this time using pre-sliced cheese.  It worked just as well; I put the oven on 350 for 5-10 minutes (I didn’t time it) and then turned the oven off but left the cheese in the oven for about 30 minutes.  They were perfectly crispy.  Today I paired them with some egg salad, just two more hard-boiled eggs mixed with mayo and mustard.  It was a great combination.

 

 

Dessert

I made the mistake of leaving the TV on the Cooking Channel and someone made a Tiramisu dessert.  I’ve bought the stuff to make tiramisu but can’t while I’m on the egg fast.  I searched for recipes again though, and found the perfect solution: Caramel Machiatto Tiramisu from IBIH.  I’m a great fan of her recipes, including egg fast ones, and this one uses the Cream Cheese Pancakes instead of Lady Fingers and is perfect for the egg fast, with slight modification.  I didn’t have all the necessary ingredients but did add a little coffee syrup to my pancake batter and made a small, condensed batch of coffee to soak the pancakes in.  I didn’t have any HWC (which isn’t on the egg fast anyway) so I blended some cream cheese and caramel syrup for the “sauce”.  It would be better following the actual recipe but it wasn’t bad, especially if you get a little bit of everything together.

 

Also not pictured is a large Powerade Zero that I nursed throughout the evening.

All-in-all today, I had about 5.5 eggs and about 5 oz of cheese.  Every meal had some fat, either cooking in butter or adding mayo, so I think I’m good there as well.

I also felt a lot better today, not feeling sick at the thought of eggs as much.  I’m definitely going to get through tomorrow at least and will try to continue through Friday (when I go into the office for work).
